Remove from service broken, damaged, or rusty instruments.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

During use

Remove visible dirt immediately; avoid delays > 1 h before reprocessing.

Manual cleaning

  • Prefer dry removal; if not sufficient, wash with distilled water, including cavities/grooves (pressurized water).
  • Use soft-bristle plastic brush and dry carefully (lint-free cloth/compressed air).

Cleaning and disinfection

  • Ultrasonic bath or container with suitable disinfectant according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Keep instruments separated to avoid collisions; rinse thoroughly with distilled water and dry.

Lubrication before sterilization

Apply protective oil to joints; open/close to distribute and remove excess. The film is permeable to steam.

Steam sterilization (Europe): 121 °C · 15 min · 110 kPa or 134 °C · 3 min · 210 kPa.

CORROSION PREVENTION:

  • Pitting: minimize contact with saline/iodine solutions; rinse with demineralized water.
  • Microbiological: do not delay reprocessing; avoid drying of residues.
  • Erosion: do not use steel wool or metal brushes; avoid shocks/collisions in ultrasonic baths.
  • Galvanization: do not wash with non-stainless materials.
  • Oxidation: avoid prolonged immersion; dry completely (including cavities).

    WARNINGS AND STORAGE:
  • Non-sterile: reprocess before use.
  • Exclusive use by qualified personnel; keep out of reach of children.
  • Store in a clean, cool, dry place; protect from direct sunlight.
