Herbiform Multiair is a material made from EVA copolymers (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), one of the most widely used thermoplastics in the manufacture of foot orthoses.
It is suitable for the production of both corrective and functional insoles. Higher hardness provides greater corrective effect, while lower hardness increases comfort.
This material is very lightweight, washable, and has low water absorption. It is easy to cut and glue, can be heat molded, and offers good dimensional stability, making it a versatile material for orthopedic and podiatric work.
INDICATIONS:
Lining for standard insoles.
Cushioning in orthoses and prostheses manufacturing.
Manufacture of corrective or functional insoles.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Working temperature between 80 °C and 120 °C.
Can be vacuum molded.
Not self-weldable, but can be combined with similar polyethylene materials.
FEATURES:
Smooth material, comfortable and compressible.
Composition: EVA copolymer processed by compression.
Color: White and black bicolor sheet.
Dimensions: 105 x 90 cm.
Thickness: 2 mm.
Closed-cell structure.
Lightweight and stable.
Thermoformable between 80 °C and 120 °C.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Density: 0.13 – 0.19 g/cm³.
Hardness (Shore A): 35 – 45°.
Compression set (72 h, 23 °C, 50 %): 28 – 38 % deformation.
