HERBIFORM MARBLE

Herbiform Marble is a material made from EVA copolymers (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), one of the most widely used thermoplastics in the manufacture of foot orthoses.

It is indicated for the production of both corrective and functional insoles. Higher hardness provides a greater corrective effect, while lower hardness increases comfort.

This material is lightweight, washable, and has low water absorption, making it easy to cut, glue, and heat-mold. This facilitates its use in orthopedic and podiatric work. Its marbled finish provides a distinctive design while maintaining a soft, smooth, and comfortable surface.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Select the appropriate thickness and cut to the desired shape.
• Heat between 80 °C and 120 °C and mold using the appropriate mold.
• It can also be worked without heat by cutting and bonding with contact adhesive.

• Density: 0.10 – 0.16 g/cm³.
• Hardness: 25 – 35 Shore A.
• Compression set (72 h, 23 °C, 50 %): 30 – 40 %.
• Shrinkage: 2.0 – 4.5 %.
• Tear resistance: 0.5 – 1.2 N/mm (method A) · 4.7 – 5.9 N/mm (method B).
• Tensile strength: 1.2 – 2.2 MPa.
• Elongation at break: 180 – 240 %.
