CLEANING AND CARE:

Initial recommendations:

  • Avoid delays in cleaning and disinfection of instruments.

Preliminary manual cleaning:

  • Initially wash by hand with neutral soap.
  • In surgical environments, remove visible debris immediately to prevent corrosion.
  • Clean within an hour of use.
  • Prefer dry cleaning to avoid corrosion caused by prolonged immersion.
  • If dry cleaning is insufficient, wash with cold water (<40°C), ensuring all cavities and grooves are cleaned with a soft plastic brush.
  • Thoroughly dry with a lint-free cloth or compressed air.

Cleaning and disinfection:

  • Immerse the instruments in a solution of distilled water and a suitable disinfectant in an ultrasonic bath.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for temperature and duration.
  • Keep moving parts open during cleaning to avoid “shadow areas.”
  • Avoid overlapping instruments to prevent damage.
  • Rinse with cold distilled water and thoroughly dry.

Lubrication:

  • Use a medical-grade lubricant to protect the instrument.
  • Apply to moving parts and distribute evenly by opening and closing the instrument.

Sterilization:

  • Sterilize in compliance with local regulations.
  • Use suitable sterilization packaging.
