Description

The Platrix plaster bandage consists of natural plaster and a support material made of a special cotton fabric. It is a non-sterile, single-use bandage for short and long-term immobilization treatment in humans using circular bandaging techniques.

Indications for Use

Indicated for short and long-term treatment with external immobilization, using circular bandaging techniques, as well as for splinting. Intended for use by healthcare professionals in clinical settings.

Instructions for Use

  • Protect the entire area of the body to be treated with suitable padding (synthetic wadding, tube, foam...).
  • The product can be cut before being submerged in water.
  • The plaster bandage activates after being submerged in water for about 3 seconds at approximately 20°C.
  • It should then be completely wrung out and molded immediately. The molding time is approximately 2 to 4 minutes. The setting time is approximately 5 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, it can withstand light loads. After 12-24 hours, the product is fully hardened depending on the number of layers applied.

Warnings

  • For use on intact skin only.
  • Patients should be warned not to come into contact with excessive moisture by immersion (swimming or bathing).
  • Single-use medical device.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment.
  • Keep at a maximum temperature of 25°C.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight.
