CELLOPRENE 2000 - CONTACT ADHESIVE

Celloprene 2000 is a one-component, solvent-based contact adhesive designed to provide a fast and strong bond between materials such as leather soles, rubber, cuerolite or MP-EVA, and leather uppers. Its high initial strength, good heat resistance, and relatively long open time make it an efficient solution for footwear applications and general contact bonding uses.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

• Ideal for bonding porous and non-porous materials in footwear and other industrial contact applications.
• Recommended for professionals needing a strong, medium-fast drying adhesive (15–20 minutes).

CHARACTERISTICS:

• Color: Yellowish caramel.
• Solids content: 23 ± 1 %.
• Viscosity (Brookfield LVF at 22 ± 4 ºC): 1500 - 2300 cP.
• Flash point: -10 ºC.
• Boiling point: 80 ºC.
• Not miscible with water.
• Free of toluene.
• Good heat resistance.
• High tack and good initial strength.
• Stability: 6 months if stored sealed in a cool, dry place.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Shake before use.
• Sand and clean the surfaces to be bonded.
• Apply one coat (two if porous).
• Join the parts and press for 10–60 minutes.
• Can be reactivated or dried with infrared lamp.

WARNINGS

• Highly flammable liquid.
• Do not inhale vapors.
• Very toxic to aquatic organisms.
• Contains colophony (may cause allergic reactions).
• Dispose of as hazardous waste.

Storage

• Keep tightly closed.
• Store in a cool, ventilated place protected from direct sunlight.
