The Toothed Endonuclear Bur is designed for specialized podiatric procedures. Made of high-quality stainless steel, this tool provides exceptional anti-corrosion protection even after multiple sterilization processes. Ideal for removing calluses, grinding corneal ridges, and reducing discomfort in patients with Neurovascular Clavus, its hollow design with toothed front ensures precision and less pressure during use. Available in diameters of 1.8 mm, 2.3 mm, and 2.7 mm, it is an essential tool for advanced podiatric care.

 

INDICATIONS FOR USE OF THE PODIATRIC BUR:

  • Callus removal.
  • Grinding of corneal ridges.
  • Reduction of pressure-related pain in cases such as Neurovascular Clavus, thanks to its aggressive design.
  • The recommended speed for this type of bur is between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm.

CLEANING AND CARE:

Initial preparation:
- Perform a visual and mechanical inspection of the bur's condition.
- Manually wash with water and neutral soap to remove visible dirt before disinfection.

Manual cleaning:
- Whenever possible, start with dry cleaning.
- If dry cleaning is insufficient, wash with cold water under pressure, ensuring to clean cavities, grooves, and hard-to-reach areas.
- Use soft plastic brushes if necessary.

Disinfection:
- Immerse the burs in an appropriate solution with distilled water and use an ultrasonic bath or tank.
- Select temperature, time, and program according to the instructions provided by the disinfectant manufacturer.

Drying:
- Completely dry with an absorbent cloth that leaves no residue or with compressed air, especially in cavities and hard-to-reach areas.

Sterilization:
- Depending on the intended use, perform sterilization in an autoclave, considering the recommended cycles (minimum 15 minutes at 121 °C or 3 minutes at 134 °C).

Post-storage:
- Store the burs in a clean, dry place protected from direct sunlight to maintain their integrity and functionality.
- This procedure ensures the longevity of the burs and their safe use in healthcare settings.
