CLEANING AND CARE:

Initial preparation:
- Perform a visual and mechanical inspection of the bur’s condition.
- Wash manually with water and neutral soap to remove visible dirt before disinfection.
Manual cleaning:
- Whenever possible, start with dry cleaning.
- If dry cleaning is insufficient, wash with cold water under pressure, ensuring to clean cavities, grooves, and hard-to-reach areas.
- Use brushes with plastic and soft bristles if necessary.
Disinfection:
- Immerse the burs in a suitable solution with distilled water and use an ultrasonic bath or tank.
- Select temperature, time, and program according to the disinfectant manufacturer’s instructions.
Drying:
- Completely dry with an absorbent cloth that leaves no residue or with compressed air, especially in cavities and hard-to-reach areas.
Sterilization:
- Depending on the intended use, perform sterilization in an autoclave, considering the recommended cycles (minimum 15 minutes at 121 °C or 3 minutes at 134 °C).
- Post-storage:
- Store the burs in a clean, dry place protected from direct sunlight to maintain their integrity and functionality.
- This procedure ensures the longevity of the burs and their safe use in healthcare environments.
