Spange System for Ingrown and Involuted Nails

The Spange System provides relief and stimulates the natural growth of nails. This orthopedic device, developed by 3TO, has proven to be a reliable and tested option over several years in the field of podiatry.

Composition:

The system is made of high-quality wire containing a precise mixture of iron, chromium, silicon, manganese, and other elements ensuring strength and durability. Additionally, the inclusion of carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, molybdenum, nitrogen, and a low percentage of nickel ensures its compatibility with sensitive skin and potential allergies.

Indications:

  • Effective treatment of ingrown and involuted nails, even in severe cases with inflammation in the surrounding tissue.
  • Stimulation of natural nail growth, especially in patients with nickel allergies.
  • Exclusive use by trained podiatrists, ensuring professional and safe treatment.

Contents

It is presented in zip bags with 5 braces + 5 loops.

Features:

  • Normal hardness.
  • Nickel-free is at a percentage equal to or less than 0.2%.
  • It is the least straightforward method in terms of application and is simultaneously the most corrective method.

Application Method:

Children's Spange | Herbitas

Initially, the two ends of the partially prefabricated spring steel wire are adjusted to the unique shape of the nail. Subsequently, they are bent into small hooks.

Children's Spange Step Two | Herbitas

The hooks are placed under the edge of the nail. This procedure is barely noticed by the patient, as the orthopedic wire device does not press on the nail but gently hooks under the edge of the nail.

Children's Spange Step Three | Herbitas

Next, the right and left ends of the key are connected using a loop. The tension of the orthopedic device is adjusted to fit the patient: it should be snug to provide relief but without causing discomfort to the patient. By activating the orthopedic device, the edges of the nail are slightly lifted, facilitating the nail to resume its natural and straight growth.

Children's Spange Step Four | Herbitas

After trimming the wire ends, the orthopedic device can be sealed with artificial nail polish. This ensures that the orthopedic device stays in place and prevents possible damage (such as in socks) caused by protruding wire ends.
