NOCTURNAL BUNION CORRECTOR: HALLUX VALGUS SPLINT

The night splint for hallux valgus is a medical device that corrects the position of the first metatarsal during the night, relieving pressure caused by the bunion and slowing its progression. It is also recommended as support in postoperative care following bunion surgery. Made with a semi-rigid plastic body, an adjustable Velcro strap, and a latex foam contact surface covered with cotton and leather-like material, it ensures comfort and effectiveness. The design allows progressive adaptation to minimize initial discomfort. Available in versions for the left foot, right foot, or both feet.

TECHNICAL FEATURES
MATERIALS:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Place the corrector in the first interdigital space, ensuring that the splint’s concavity fits the edge of the first toe (between the first and second toes).
• Adjust the leather and foam strap over the metatarsus, not over the joint.
• Wrap the Velcro strap around the foot and adjust it for proper fixation.
   

INDICATIONS

• Keeps the first metatarsal in the correct position during the night, relieving pain and slowing bunion development.
• Recommended for postoperative care following bunion surgery.
   

RECOMMENDATIONS

• Do not force the joint beyond the point of pain.
• Progressively increase correction by adjusting the pressure.
• If discomfort occurs, do not use it all night during the first days.
• In case of persistent pain, consult a specialist.
