HEMOCOR – FERRIC SULFATE GINGIVAL RETRACTOR

HEMOCOR is a dental solution containing 15% ferric sulfate, formulated for the temporary retraction of soft tissues during clinical procedures. Its primary use is the soaking of retraction cords applied in the gingival sulcus, allowing better access to the area during treatments such as impression taking, restorations, or deep cleanings.

Its action is based on protein precipitation and localized coagulation, providing effective and controlled mechanical gingival retraction. It can be easily applied using cords or cotton pellets and should be rinsed with water after use.

Presented in a 20 ml amber glass bottle, the product ensures light stability. It is intended exclusively for professional dental use and contains no chloride or aluminum sulfate.

CHARACTERISTICS:

• Brown-colored liquid solution.
• Characteristic iron odor.
• pH: approx. 1.4.
• Density: 1.09 g/cm³.

• Amber glass bottle with 20 ml.

COMPOSITION:
Ferric sulfate x-hydrate (Fe₂O₁₂S₃·xH₂O).


DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Soak the retraction cord with HEMOCOR.
• Carefully place it into the gingival sulcus.
• It can also be applied using a cotton pellet.
• Rinse thoroughly with water after the procedure.
• Preferably use with a rubber dam.
  

PRECAUTIONS:

• Use nitrile gloves, protective goggles, and clothing.
• In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
• Not classified as hazardous according to EC Regulation 1272/2008.
• Wash hands thoroughly after use.
  

STORAGE:

• Store in a dry, cool place protected from light.
• Keep the container tightly closed at room temperature.
