Initial recommendations (before first use)
Visual and mechanical inspection of the instrument.
Hand wash with water and neutral soap; manual or ultrasonic disinfection with enzymatic detergent and fine-bristle brush to remove lubricant from moving parts.
It is recommended to perform two sterilisation cycles to remove possible lubricant residues.

CLEANING, DISINFECTION AND STERILISATION:
During use

  • Remove visible dirt immediately to avoid incrustations and corrosion.
  • Avoid waiting > 1 h before reprocessing.

Manual cleaning

  • Prioritise dry removal; if insufficient, wash with cold pressurised water (including cavities/grooves).
  • Use soft plastic-bristle brush; dry thoroughly with lint-free cloth and/or compressed air.

Disinfection

  • Ultrasonic bath or container with suitable disinfectant; follow manufacturer’s programme/temperature/time.
  • Keep instruments separated to avoid collisions; rinse with plenty of cold distilled water and dry thoroughly.

Lubrication (before sterilising)

  • Apply protective oil on joints and hard-to-reach areas; open/close to distribute and remove excess. The oil film is permeable to steam and acts as lubricant and anti-corrosive.

Steam sterilisation (Europe)

15 min at 121 °C (2 ABS) or 3 min at 134 °C (3 ABS).

CORROSION PREVENTION:

  • Pitting: minimise contact with saline/iodine solutions; rinse with demineralised water.
  • Microbiological: do not delay reprocessing; avoid dirt drying.
  • Erosion: do not use steel wool/metal brushes; avoid impacts/collisions in ultrasonic baths.
  • Galvanisation: do not wash together with non-stainless materials.
  • Oxidation: avoid excessive immersion times; dry completely (incl. cavities).

WARNINGS AND STORAGE

  • Non-sterile product: clean, disinfect and sterilise before first use and after each use.
  • For professional use only; keep out of reach of children.
  • Discard broken/damaged/oxidised instruments (not reusable or reprocessable).
  • Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
