AESCULAP DC-241R DOUBLE CURETTE

The AESCULAP DC-241R Double Curette is a professional instrument made of stainless steel, designed to scrape, clean or remove tissue from different areas of the body. It is particularly suitable for removing superficial skin lesions, such as warts and keratoses, prior to cauterisation.

Its design features two 2 mm diameter spoon-shaped tips, one at each end of the instrument. The knurled hexagonal handle provides a firm and secure grip, improving control and precision during use.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION:

• Remove visible contamination immediately after using the instrument to prevent residues from drying.
• Avoid waiting periods longer than 1 hour before reprocessing.
• Whenever possible, initially remove residues using a dry method.
• If necessary, wash with distilled water.
• A soft-bristled plastic brush may be used to remove visible contamination.
• For cleaning and disinfection, an ultrasonic bath or tank with distilled water and a suitable disinfectant may be used.
• After disinfection, rinse thoroughly with distilled water.
• Dry the instrument completely before sterilization or storage.
   

STERILIZATION:

• The AESCULAP DC-241R Double Curette is reusable and steam sterilizable.
• According to the technical data sheet, the following cycles may be used in Europe:

Minimum 15 minutes at 121 ºC and 110 kPa.
Minimum 3 minutes at 134 ºC and 210 kPa.

• The instrument must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized before first use and after each use.
