The DARCO Pegassist Black Insole is an advanced solution for relieving plantar pressure using removable pegs. It is specially designed for postoperative use and for the treatment of acute wounds requiring selective plantar pressure offloading.

PEGASSIT BLACK INSOLE

The DARCO PegAssist® Black insole is specially designed for postoperative use and for treating acute wounds that require selective off-loading of plantar pressure. It features a system of removable hexagonal pegs, allowing the off-loading area to be adapted to the patient’s specific needs.
A thin layer of self-adhesive cardboard is attached to the bottom of the sole to maintain the custom shape and prevent adjacent pegs from shifting.

Made from 18 mm PE foam, Poron®, and EVA, it provides an optimal combination of cushioning, comfort, and moldability.

 

INDICATIONS FOR USE:

  • Plantar lesions
  • Plantar ulcers
  • Areas of high pressure
  • Postoperative phase

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Wash with warm water and soap or standard disinfectants.
  • Do not dry in the sun, on radiators, or in a dryer.
  • Air dry at room temperature.
     

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Remove the original insole from the shoe.
  • Insert the PegAssist® with the blue side facing up (honeycomb side down).
  • Place a sterile film over the ulcer or wound.
  • Mark the affected area with the included marker.
  • Have the patient wear the shoe to transfer the mark.
  • Remove the pegs in the marked area.
  • Attach the cardboard cover to the insole.
  • Reinsert the insole into the shoe with the cover facing down.

 

PRECAUTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Always use with a sock or bandage.
  • Incorrect use compromises effectiveness.
  • Designed for single-patient use.
  • Not suitable for open wounds.
     

STORAGE

Store in a cool, clean place away from direct sunlight.
