PUZZLE MEDICALSUR INSOLE – DARCO

The DARCO Puzzle MedicalSur Insole is a modular inner insole, developed to achieve effective plantar pressure offloading through the simple replacement of interchangeable modules, adapting to the specific medical indications of each patient.

The Puzzle® system consists of three interchangeable modules — small toe module (narrow), big toe module (wide) and central module — enabling customised pressure distribution after surgical procedures on the forefoot and midfoot.

The insole is made from EVA foam in two distinct hardness levels:

• Black (Shore 30°), which acts as the support base insole.

• Blue (Shore 09°), used in the modules for selective pressure offloading.

Thanks to its anterior wedge design, it provides an additional 22% offloading, while the heel area is thinner to improve stability. It is suitable for right and left foot and compatible with MedSurg, MedSurg Pro® and Relief Dual® footwear.

INDICATIONS BY MODULE:

SMALL TOE MODULE (NARROW)

• Varus toe (digitus superductus).
• Jones fracture.

BIG TOE MODULE (WIDE)

• MTP arthrodesis.
• Austin, Scarf and Akin osteotomies.
• Opening and closing wedges.
• Crescent osteotomy.
  Lapidus arthrodesis (TMT 1).
• Youngswick osteotomy.

CENTRAL MODULE

• Weil and/or Helal I–IV osteotomy.
• Morton’s neuroma.
• Hammertoe correction.
• PIP / DIP arthrodesis.
• Metatarsal fractures II–IV.
• Metatarsal shortening osteotomies II–IV.
   

PROPERTIES:

• Easy module replacement.
• 2.4° negative heel (dorsiflexion extension).
• Suitable for right and left foot.
   

MODE OF ACTION:
Selective redistribution of plantar pressure, particularly indicated after forefoot and midfoot surgical procedures.

 
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• Use the black insole as the base.
• Place the blue modules in the areas where pressure relief is required.
• Remove the original insole from the shoe and insert the Puzzle® insole.
• The insole must always be used complete (4 components).
