STERILE COTTON SWABS

The cotton swab is a sterile medical device consisting of a wooden stick and a cotton tip, designed for use in clinical and gynaecological procedures. It is suitable for sample collection, application of liquid solutions, drying, cleaning and blood tamponade in minor procedures.

It is also used for the application of disinfectant liquids to the cervix, as well as for applying acetic acid or Lugol’s solution during colposcopy. The wooden stick allows a firm grip and better pressure control, improving precision during the procedure.
