INDICATIONS FOR USE OF THE PODIATRY BUR:
- Treatment of thickened, diseased nails and hyperkeratosis.
- Milling of materials and orthoses.
- Use on acrylic, gel, and natural nails.

CLEANING AND CARE:
- Initial preparation:
- Perform a visual and mechanical check of the bur’s condition.
- Wash manually with water and neutral soap to remove visible dirt before disinfection. - Manual cleaning:
- Whenever possible, begin with dry removal.
- If dry cleaning is insufficient, wash with cold pressurized water, ensuring to clean cavities, grooves, and hard-to-reach areas.
- Use soft plastic bristle brushes if necessary. - Disinfection:
- Immerse the burs in a suitable solution with distilled water and use an ultrasonic bath or tank.
- Select temperature, time, and program as per the disinfectant product manufacturer's instructions. - Drying:
- Completely dry with a lint-free absorbent cloth or compressed air, especially in cavities and hard-to-reach areas. - Sterilization:
- Depending on the intended use, sterilize in an autoclave, following recommended cycles (minimum 15 minutes at 121 °C or 3 minutes at 134 °C).
- Post-sterilization storage:
- Store burs in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain integrity and functionality.
- This procedure ensures the longevity of the burs and their safe use in medical settings.
