STERICAN ANESTHESIA NEEDLES

Anesthesia needles are designed to minimize pain and skin trauma thanks to their triple-bevel tip, sharpening and polishing process, and silicone lubrication, which reduce the required penetration force and improve patient comfort (especially helpful for less experienced staff). The translucent hub aids identification of drugs and fluids, and color coding enables quick recognition of gauge and use. They are sterile (EO), apyrogenic, and single-use, and compatible with Luer and Luer-Lok adapters.

 

VARIANTS AND RECOMMENDED USE: 

  • 12.502.20 — 30 G x ½” (0.30 x 12 mm), yellow hub.
    Use: insulin injection. 
  • 12.502.21 — 27 G x 1½” (0.40 x 40 mm), grey hub.
    Use: intradermal anesthetic injection. 
  • 12.502.22 — 27 G x 1” (0.40 x 25 mm), grey hub.
    Use: intradermal anesthetic injection. 

Also indicated for intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intra-arterial injection and aspiration, depending on technique and appropriate length/gauge.

 

COMPATIBILITY:

Sterican anesthesia needles are compatible with syringes with Luer and Luer-Lok adapters:

  • 12.504.2 (Luer connection) – Insulin syringe.
  • 12.503.1-4 (Luer connection) – Sterile Injekt 2-piece syringes.
  • 12.505.9 (Luer-Lok connection) – 3-piece syringe.
