B. BRAUN SALINE SOLUTION

B. Braun Saline Solution is a sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution specifically designed for the irrigation and cleaning of tissues, instruments, and body cavities during medical and surgical procedures. It is endotoxin-free and heat-sterilized, ensuring maximum safety in clinical environments.

This solution can be used for washing wounds, burns, stomas, urinary catheters, surgical instruments, eyes, and nasal mucosa. It is also suitable for use in respiratory humidifiers. Classified as a Class I sterile medical device, it must not be used intravenously.

INDICATIONS FOR USE:

• Irrigation of wounds, burns, and surgical areas.
• Cleaning of catheters, stomas, and dressings.
• Rinsing of medical and surgical instruments.
• Ocular and nasal rinsing (especially in 30 ml containers).
• Humidification of airways (preferably with containers ≥100 ml).
• Intraoperative and postoperative use in endoscopic or TUR surgery.

CHARACTERISTICS:

COMPOSITION (per 1000 ml):

• Sodium chloride (NaCl): 9 g
• Water for injections q.s.

Electrolyte concentration:

• Sodium: 154 mmol/l
• Chloride: 154 mmol/l

CLASSIFICATION: Class I sterile medical device.

PRESENTATION: Individual box with one saline container and leaflet, or box of 10 or 20 units (depending on format).

FORMATS: 30 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, and 500 ml.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
For use by healthcare professionals only. The amount to be used depends on the procedure and medical judgment.

 
WARNINGS:

• Not suitable for intravenous infusion.
• Use only if the container is intact and the solution is clear.
• Discard any remaining contents after opening.
• Single-use product: do not reuse.
• Do not use after the expiration date.
• Keep out of reach of children.
   

STORAGE:
Store between 5 °C and 25 °C in a dry and protected place.
