Master-Cat Gel Catalyst 60 ml

MASTER-CAT GEL CATALYST 

Master-Cat Gel is a high-quality catalyst designed for the catalysis of RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanising) silicones used in the manufacture of foot orthoses.

Its formulation allows it to be used with different silicones, including Giulia, Blanda-Blanda, Master Series, Podiabland, Ortho 2000 and silicone polymer, providing professionals with a versatile solution for the manufacture of orthoses.

The catalyst is incorporated directly into the silicone by kneading. To achieve a correct mixture, only the minimum amount required should be used, and kneading should continue until a uniform colour is obtained throughout the silicone.

As a guideline, the technical data sheet recommends using 0.25 g of Master-Cat Gel for every 10 g of silicone. An excessive amount of catalyst may cause excessively rapid catalysis, the formation of lumps and a reduction in the service life of the orthosis.

COMPOSITION:
Contains:

• Tetraethyl silicate.
• Trimethoxyvinylsilane.
• Alkylstannosiloxane.
   

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• Add the catalyst to the silicone.
• Mix both components by kneading.
• Use only the minimum amount of catalyst required.
• Knead until the colour is uniform throughout the silicone.
• Avoid adding an excessive amount to prevent the formation of lumps or excessively rapid catalysis.
   

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:

• For 10 g of silicone, use approximately: 0.25 g of Master-Cat Gel.
• An excessive amount of catalyst may reduce the service life of the orthosis.
• To catalyse the silicone polymer, Master-Cat should be added until the polymer becomes completely red.

 
PRESENTATION:
One 60 ml tube of Master-Cat Gel, supplied as a red paste.

PRECAUTIONS:

• Always keep the container properly closed.
• After removing the required amount of catalyst, close the tube immediately.
• Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure.
• Wear protective gloves, clothing, goggles and/or a protective mask when appropriate.
   

WARNINGS:

• Flammable liquid and vapour.
• Irritating to eyes and skin.
• In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
• Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources.
• Do not smoke while handling the product.
• Dispose of the contents and container in accordance with applicable local, national and international regulations.
   

STORAGE:

• Store in a cool, dry place.
• Protect from direct sunlight.
• Storage temperature: between 5 and 27 ºC.
• Keep the container properly closed.
