STERANIOS 2% – READY-TO-USE DISINFECTANT

Instrunet Steranios 2% is a ready-to-use disinfectant formulated with 2% glutaraldehyde, buffered at pH 6. It is indicated for high-level disinfection of medical devices, including heat-sensitive equipment and endoscopes. Its antimicrobial action occurs within 10 minutes and it is compatible with a wide variety of materials.

INDICATED USE:
High-level disinfection of healthcare products, including endoscopy equipment and thermosensitive materials.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• MEDICAL DEVICE: Class IIb (Directive 93/42/EEC as amended).
• COMPOSITION: 2% glutaraldehyde solution, buffered at pH 6 with sodium citrate, surface effect catalyst, dye, and excipients.
• APPEARANCE: Fluid liquid
• COLOR: Green
• ODOR: Characteristic
• DENSITY: ± 1.0
• pH: Neutral
• WATER SOLUBILITY: SOLUBLE.
• MICROBIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES: Active against bacteria, yeasts, fungi, viruses, and mycobacteria within 10 minutes.
• PRESENTATION: 5L container

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Ready-to-use product. Do not dilute.

• Pre-clean devices with a detergent or pre-disinfection product.
• Immerse the devices in the Steranios 2% solution.
• Respect the required contact time.
• Rinse thoroughly with sterilized or filtered water (0.2 μm).
• Dry carefully with a single-use towel.
• Check glutaraldehyde level with test strips at least once per day.
