Posturology

WHAT IS THE CONCEPT OF POSTUROLOGY?

The first function is to focus on sensory input pathways, research in an attempt to explain the origin of pain of the vestibular and proprioceptive disturbances. Finally, seek to REPROGRAMATE information inputs and sensory integration.

In other words, it must be understood that there are certain areas in the body in which the mechanisms that place us in space or that allow us to communicate with the environment are very abundant. These entry routes are mainly the eye, the foot and the mouth, called POSTURAL CAPTORS. For this reason, when we have a stone in the shoe, we notice it very much, as well as when a piece of food remains between our teeth. Similarly, if this input of information is not done properly our body is seen in the need to ADAPT the posture so that the information gets in as easy as possible and our body spends less energy. Makes sense, right?

In the same way, it is possible that, if our system is not able to adapt properly or uses too much energy it begins to suffer from the stress caused in the tissues by the maintenance of the posture. Moreover, there are constant complaints in the back or different joints.

The objective of posturology would be to find out which are the routes that present the greatest alteration in order to carry out a treatment that improves the access to information by that route. Therefore, we will achieve to reprogram our posture.

HOW CAN WE DETECT THESE ALTERATIONS?

There are several ways to check if we have alterations that require posturological treatment, from manual tests such as the podal convergence test that helps us to analyze each postural captor, to the use of technology that objectifies our assessment.

A very interesting example is the use of a pressure platform, such as the Herbitas T-Plate, a simple tool within everyone's reach that gives us a lot of information about how our postural system behaves, and by means of which we can evaluate each posture captor to know where to focus our treatment and if our work is being effective.

In addition, Laboratorios Herbitas has many other available elements for posturology such as:

INSOLES

Transflex insoles and insoles templates with adhesive, lined and unlined.

COMPONENTS

We have a wide variety of posturo elements, manufactured in resin and with different thicknesses.

POSTUROLOGY COMPLEMENTS

In this family we can find different interesting complements, such as Maddox Test, the Graduated Rule, the Double Sided Adhesive, a standard set of elements to perform tests. Also, we have insoles templates sets with different types of lasts and even an interesting comic disseminator of posturology to deliver to the patients.
