BRAND: Dermojet

COMPOSITION OF THE DERMOJET SYRINGE:

a) A totally metallic JERINGA BODY comprising a small diameter centric piston, spring and its lever. b) AN INJECTION HEAD, provided with a valve that retains the liquid when the apparatus is assembled, and drilled, at the lower end, with a small orifice of 2/10 mm diameter. c) A transparent CYLINDER that serves as a reservoir for the liquid to be injected. Its capacity is 4 cm3. d) AN ADJUSTMENT STOPPER to fix the tip and the cylinder on the body of the syringe. The total weight is approximately 300 grams.

FUNCTIONING:

To introduce the liquid, when it is filled, unscrew the contera and fill the tank. Reset and tighten the adjusting sleeve. The tank communicates with a small cylinder in which the piston presses. The mechanical device automatically picks up a small quantity of liquid: this is 1/10 ml. It is assembled by lowering the lever. In the armament, the vertical apparatus must be maintained. A trigger at the top of the device is pressed with the thumb. This trigger detaches the piston at the required moment. The liquid, strongly compressed, passes through the capillary orifice. The pressure is approximately 100 Kg/cm2. The very fine jet pierces the skin and instantly produces a large characteristic papule. At the cusp of this can be seen a small narrowing at the point where the liquid has penetrated the integument.

INJECTION TECHNIQUE:

The depth of the injection depends on the distance from the device and its inclination in relation to the skin plan. After a simple pressure with the thumb, the injection already carried out, it is enough to reassemble the "DERMO JET" simply by lowering the lever. Forty injections can then be made in a very short period of time. For further precautions, it should be noted that the appliance must be primed after filling it and this by operating the armament lever five or six times in succession while keeping the top button pressed (appliance maintained vertical). In human medicine, variations in penetration depth depend on the injection site of the distance and the angle of injection in relation to the skin plan. Taking into account these different factors, the technique varies according to the required objective. The variation of the inclination of the appliance in relation to the skin plan and the joint adjustment of the penetration make it possible to reach with precision both the superficial or deep dermis and the underlying tissues.

DERMOJET STERILISATION:

The sterilization of the device is simple: simply remove the stopper and remove the injection head and its reservoir. A complete emptying and cleaning of the unit can then be carried out. The sterilization will be done either in a stove or by boiling, immersing the device in boiling water for about twenty minutes. It is better to use distilled water for this, as the presence of mineral salts could cause the capillary orifice to become clogged. It can also be sterilized in an autoclave or in other ways.

CARE:

1. Rinse the tank with alcohol once a week.

2. Do not leave the anesthetic for more than 2 or 3 days, to avoid decomposition. The brownish deposit that can be observed then is not rust, but a product of decomposition of the anesthetic. It is simply removed upon drying.

3. Change the gasket n°6 after 6000 injections. Make sure that the widened part and the lock washer 16 face upwards (i.e. towards the part opposite the joint).
